Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Delayed

While originally the game was supposed to be released on February 23rd, 2016, the results of the current round of playtesting have convinced Eidos Montreal and Square Enix to delay Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to August 23rd. From the game’s official website we read:

We’re confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards. In order to achieve this, we need to move the release of the game to August 23rd, 2016.

I certainly have no problem with this delay, especially if it gives the developer a chance to smooth the rough edges and the rough not-so-edges. Besides, we’ve had no shortage of games this year, so personally I wouldn’t mind a bit of a dead period in 2016 to catch up with titles I didn’t get the chance to play.
