Dragon Age II Choices – Play-through #3 (Gerald) – Intro

Here’s Gerald

I was going to play all the way through Dragon Age: Origins and then Awakening with my dwarf warrior as I had never played one before.

Then I thought, nah what the hell. I haven’t played this for ages and I wanna skip straight to Dragon Age 2 dammit. So I did.

In this new playthrough I’m gonna try to do everything I didn’t manage to the first two times. I have just met Varric and I have already unlocked a new achievement.

Mass Exodus – All I had to do to unlock this achievement was to get to Kirkwall with the three different classes. Easy.

At this stage of the game I am wondering what else there is I can do to make the game come out a little differently or unlock the other achievements. I know I still have to bed Fenrys. Which only just occurred to me otherwise I may have created a female character. I’m not sure how Fenrys feels about a little man-on-man (or how keen I am on making him for that matter) to unlock that achievement. I guess we’ll see.

Anyway, here is my new character Gerald. He’s a warrior and he’s going to be another good guy, he’s also going to mistrust and hate mages. His sister Bethany is a mage of course, and I haven’t had chance to show her my hatred of her kind yet, but I know that I will and she’s gonna slip into rivalry with me pretty quickly.

Gerald is also going down the tank route. This isn’t something that I would normally do, as I prefer to wade in with powerful weapons and deadly spells, not so sure I can be enthusiastic about just getting in the way of things. Saying that, it is a new way of playing this which is what this is all about.

As said, I have met up with Varric and he has asked me to get the money together for his expedition. There’s Plenty more storyline to go. Oh and I sided with the Mercenaries. I tried to talk my out of killing them but it didn’t work out that way.
