Drakensang: The River of Time NA Release Official, Steam Confirmed

Nearly two full weeks since Radon Labs’ RPG prequel first made its way onto digital download services comes the following press release announcing its availability on GamersGate, Impulse, and… Steam? I still don’t see the game on Valve’s service, but one would assume it coming later today:

Drakensang – The River of Time is a tactical RPG game that takes players into epic vistas that brings the exquisitely realized The Dark Eye fantasy world to life. Developed by the original authors of The Dark Eye, Drakensang – The River of Time, takes gamers centuries back in time into the mystical world of Aventuria a world that previously only existed in the minds of avid The Dark Eye players.

Thanks to the stunning vistas and tactical turn-based fights displayed in a real-time environment, The Dark Eye gamers will finally be able to visually experience the landscapes, edifices, heroes and creatures of the The Dark Eye universe. Players will experience exciting new features, including two new character archetypes, 26 new enemies to battle as well as equipment upgrades and add-on items.

Starting in the city of Ferdok, the story of the game takes players down the Great River to the city of Nadoret.  Drakensang – The River of Time contains more twists and turns than the original game with every place the players visits, their awareness will change.  The game features intensive tactical combat and intriguing guests, embedded in a highly detailed 3-D graphics engine, which are the cornerstones of this fantasy epic.
