Dungeon Siege II: Broken World Reviews

A pair of mediocre reviews for Gas Powered Games’ newly released Dungeon Siege II: Broken World hit the web earlier today. The first is at Jolt Online Gaming with an overall score of 6.1/10:

The lacklustre story plus the dated look and feel of Broken World spoil Dungeon Siege II’s reputation a bit. It’s been too long coming and there just isn’t enough meat here to make this stand out from the crowd. With the modding community working the hell out of other games for free, it makes the slight enhancements and paid for content available here seem a little light. The expansion’s biggest selling point is the fact that you can probably pick it up quite cheaply, but there’s still the fact that it turns a good RPG into an apparently average one.

And the second is at Pro-G with an overall score of 5/10:

Dungeon Siege II: Broken World isn’t a standalone game, so can’t be judged as one, but even diehard Dungeon Siege fans will be disappointed by the new content that’s on offer. The main quest is totally underwhelming and can be completed in a fraction of the time it took to complete last year’s full game. When combined with some severely dated visuals and an almost thrown together storyline, there’s little reason to pick this up.
