Dungeons & Dragons Online Review

The Corporation has kicked up a review of Turbine’s Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, giving the newly released MMORPG an overall score of 4.5/5. Their final paragraphs to follow:

Depending on how quickly you blaze through the game and how much new material Turbine adds to the game, you will probably get one to three months out of it before putting it aside. I don’t count that against it there are few arbitrary barriers to experiencing all the game has to offer, unlike most other MMOs. You don’t have to spend months crawling your way up the power ladder through mass repetition even a level four character, easily attainable in a few days of play, can be an asset on even the most challenging quests in the game thanks to the D&D system. You can achieve around level seven (out of a maximum of ten) without repeating a single quest.

DDO doesn’t seek to addict its players only to entertain them. We’ll see if that’ll work for this market of strung-out junkies.
