EverQuest II Preview

IGN PC has put together another two-page preview of EverQuest II, this time focusing on the city of Qeynos. A little something to get you started:

Qeynos itself is an island just at the western tip of Antonica and accessible to it by bridge. The urban setting allows players to interact with lots of characters, from tailors to musicians to alchemists to castle guards. But on landing at Qeynos’s harbor, the first thing an adventurer needs to do is prove themselves worth of citizenship. The trials here merely require you to collect a number of tokens by fighting animals in a nearby area called the Willow Wood.

Once you’ve managed to gain citizenship, you’ll be free to explore every corner of Qeynos. You’ll find that the city is a good bit larger than the version found in the original EverQuest and it incorporates a number of wild areas around it. North and South Qeynos can be considered the main areas of the city as they contain pretty much everything an adventurer would need. Towards the western end of the area, you’ll find the large Citadel that dominates Qeynos. To access the Citadel you’ll have to head east over the bridge that leads to Antonica and exterminate a wide variety of creatures.
