Fallout 4 Mods Coming to Xbox One

After showing a slightly different and much shorter version of the Fallout 4 demo at the Microsoft E3 press conference, Todd Howard announced that Xbox One players will be able to use community-made mods on their Xbox One version of the title. As of now we don’t know exactly how this is going to work out, and it’s not clear if this feature will also be available on the PlayStation 4 version.

Bethesda has been openly talking about mods on consoles for years, so I shouldn’t be surprised to see it happen, but considering all the legal and technical hurdles, it always seemed unfeasible to me. These are interesting times for the games industry.

Update: In addition, Bethesda also announced that Fallout 4 copies on Xbox One would come bundled with Xbox 360. In case you are wondering how this would work, just a few minutes before, head of Xbox Phil Spencer had announced that Xbox One would be made backwards compatible with an update.
