TEST YOUR METAL UPDATE INCOMING!

Here’s a quick look at what’s in store for you with the Test Your Metal Update next week, including some details to get you started with the new “Test Your Metal,” “Moonshine Jamboree,” and “Eviction Notice” Public Events, Fallout 76 Season 9, and Corpse Highlighting.

TEST YOUR METAL IN THE RUST EAGLE ARENA

The Brotherhood of Steel has uncovered that the Rust Eagles are constructing an army of deadly robots that may soon threaten Appalachia. Join forces with the “Gladiators of Steel” to find out what the bots are made of by competing in three rounds of fierce combat against them inside the Metal Dome in the Savage Divide. Overcome the odds, keep the Gladiators alive, and you may walk away with rare rewards, like plans to craft new Botsmith Armor.

JOIN THE MOONSHINE JAMBOREE

Moonshiner Ned is eager to brew a fresh batch of the Sunday Brothers’ famous Mire Magic Moonshine, but he’s missing a key ingredient: Acidic Gulper Venom. Head over to the Sunday Brothers Cabin in the Mire to help Ned kick off the annual Moonshine Jamboree, which will attract hordes of curious Gulpers to the area. Take down as many Gulpers as you can while defending the Cabin’s Stills, and collect enough venom for Ned to get started whipping up some Mire Magic. If your Jamboree is successful, you’ll earn some loot, Raider faction reputation, and have a chance to pick up the new Gulper Smacker melee weapon.

GEAR UP FOR EVICTION NOTICE

The Settlers at Foundation had begun working to expand their territory by constructing a new settlement in a nearby blast crater. They even set up a Rad Scrubber to purge radiation from the area, and make it safer for future residents. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, until a band of Super Mutants put a stop to their work and drove the Settlers from the crater. Now, you must investigate the work site in the Savage Divide, and rid the fledgling settlement of its new inhabitants. This is a challenging Public Event, so make sure to prepare for a tough fight. Remember to defend the Rad Scrubber and keep it in working order, or else the Super Mutants will become the least of your worries. Successfully clear out the crater, and you will score some loot, Settler faction reputation, and a chance to earn one of six unique new 3-star legendary weapons.

SPOT YOUR LOOT MORE EASILY WITH CORPSE HIGHLIGHTS

In the Test Your Metal Update, we’re introducing a new quality-of-life improvement with the Corpse Highlights setting, which will help you find downed enemies more easily. Whether your foes fall into some tall grass, or you’ve sent them flying into nearby rubble, the pulsing yellow highlights on their corpses will keep you from missing out on any of the loot you’ve earned.

RANK UP AND CLAIM REWARDS DURING SEASON 9

Fallout 76 Season 9 will begin on patch day. Earn S.C.O.R.E. to rank-up on the new “Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale” Scoreboard. Along the way, you can follow along with the Franklin family children and their assaultron bodyguard as they do everything they can to survive after crash landing on the perilous island. Of course, you will also be able to lay claim to a host of new rewards, including Power Armor, armor, and weapon paints, new outfits, C.A.M.P. objects, in-game currencies, and more! In addition, new Fallout 1st Scoreboard enhancements that we announced last week will help Members rake in S.C.O.R.E. more quickly, and claim even more rewards than before. Learn more about Season 9 and preview new rewards by heading here.

Keep in mind that Season 8 will come to an end as soon as maintenance begins on June 14, so you’ve still got a few days left in case you’re chasing those final few rank-ups. Make sure to head back to the Scoreboard by then to grab any rewards you may have left unclaimed, lest they be sealed away inside the vault when the Season concludes.

CONTINUE THE DREAD ISLAND TALE WITH MORE RADIO PLAYS

Last week, we kicked off our Dread Island adventures with Anna, Emilio, and H-4RT with the first two chapters in a new round of Radio Plays for Season 9. This week, you can continue the story by tuning into our latest episode below, which includes chapters three and four in their tale.

Make sure to stop by again next week to catch the final two chapters in this series of Radio Plays. If you like what you hear, you can tune your Pip-Boy to Pirate Radio after Tuesday’s update to hear them again during your escapades in Appalachia.

IT’S A GOLD RUSH!

Scrounge up all the Treasury Notes you’ve been collecting, stop by a few Public Events to grab some more, and get ready to turn in as many as you can, because the Gold Rush begins today. Throughout this weekend, you can visit the Gold Press Machines at The Crater and Foundation to exchange your Treasury Notes for up to double the usual daily amount of Gold Bullion. If there are item plans you’ve been hoping to pick up from Regs, Minerva, or another Gold Bullion Vendor, then now’s the perfect time to cash in. Make sure to line your pockets with some extra Bullion before the Gold Rush comes to an end at 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, June 13.

Until next time, we’ll see you in Appalachia!
