GameSpy’s 25 Most Memorable Games

GameSpy is running a new feature in which they detail the top twenty-five most memorable games of the last five years. Although they haven’t revealed the top five yet, their list so far contains titles such as Asheron’s Call,
Deus Ex, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Here’s a snip about Deus Ex:

What really solidified Deus Ex as a game I wanted to play (and ended up loving) was Spector’s passion for creating a game that took a step forward and brought something new to the table. He didn’t want the game to wallow in what every other game was doing. He wanted to focus on the gamer and the experience. I think in the end, he succeeded because it was our Game of the Year for 2000 and one that kept us talking in the office for quite some time. To this day, shaithis still says it is one of his favorite games of all time. And I have to agree with him.
