Gothic 2 Developer Diary @ RPGDot

The guys at RPGDot have managed to score a developer diary with Kai Rosenkranz of Piranha Bytes in which he talks about their highly anticipated Gothic 2. Check it out:

As for myself, I have screwed up something with the music, which I now have to face the music for, literally: For some inexplicable reason, the music, which runs during the game, inflates up to 120 MB in memory, which is no option at all of course. After a few hours of bug hunting and a restructuring of the whole orchestra, I am almost there, below the 30 MB limit. The creative possibilities are of course cut down by that (imagine, you have a track originally intended for a 80 person orchestra played by 20 persons only), but the final result still sounds good enough to my ears.
