Guild Wars Nightfall Reviews

ArenaNet’s recently released Guild Wars Nightfall add-on is the subject of two more favorable reviews. The first is at UGO with an overall score of “B+”:

Nightfall doesn’t really bring anything new game mechanic-wise to the Guild Wars franchise, but it does offer some beautiful environments and cultural inventiveness to an otherwise bland fantasy genre. If you own Guild Wars, you’ll want to add this to your collection.

And the second is at 2404.org with an overall score of 8.5/10:

Nightfall adds another 350 new skills mostly for the new/newer classes, of course, but such a plethora goes a long way to keeping the PvP exciting, where just one unusual skill can alter the optimal way to beat one’s opponents. Figuring out what eight skills to equip to best complete the next mission is really the heart of the Guild Wars experience, so while the skills may not be flashy in terms of graphics, as long as NCSoft sees fit to add so many every installment, the game will always be alive.
