Guinevere and Andred Swapped

Sanya posted a quick newsbit on the Camelot Herald letting everyone know that some of the components in the Guinevere and Andred servers were swapped in order to meet the needs of their respective populations. The details:

    – All our server clusters except two are identical. Mordred and Andred were purchased six months after the others, and are therefore six months newer and slightly faster machines.
    – These days, Guinevere is taking the kind of pounding that Andred used to, and the decision was made to swap configurations and elements of Andred for Guinevere, as Guinevere’s configuration was no longer able to meet the demand. Andred’s demands are lower in terms of simultaneous users, and well within the parameters we set when we launched the game.
    – Absolutely no change was made to bandwidth allocations. As many of you pointed out, all servers have relic raids and keep wars with members of all three realms attending, and we can’t afford to skimp anyone.
    – Yesterday we swapped out configurations and some hardware elements of Andred and Guinevere so that both servers can operate efficiently. The early results are very encouraging – so much so that we will most likely do the same thing with Mordred and Percival in the near future.
