Hard Truck: Apocalypse Reviews

The folks at Next Level Gaming and Strategy Informer have both dished up new reviews for Buka Entertainment and Targem’s Hard Truck: Apocalypse. The review at Next Level Gaming gives the game an overall score of 50/100:

Finding out you are an adopted child is nothing original. However, that is not the problem with the storyline (for some might say there are no original ideas anymore), the problem is the way that the storyline unfolds for you. The main storyline is linear and when the NPC’s in the game are talking, I cannot wait for them to be quite. Their voices are annoying and the script is nothing to get excited about. There are side quests in the game that help brake up the main story, however the problem is that these side quests are repetitive, you will be given quests like delivering a package, destroying raiders and escort missions, that is about it. None of these side quests open up anything special for the game.

While the review at Strategy Informer gives the game an overall score of 4.8/10:

At the end of the day I was underwhelmed by this game. It seemed a game with all of the right elements, but they never really came together in a way that ‘˜smelled as sweet’ as a game by any other name.
