Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Board Game – Final Rules Update

Following a series of playtests, Archon Studio brings us a new Kickstarter update for the board game version of Heroes of Might and Magic III. There, we get a chance to check out the game’s finalized rulebook, learn a few things about the special solo campaigns, and are told about some international playtests.

More on that:

Updated Rulebooks

The final versions of the Rulebook and the Mission Book are just about ready which is why we wanted to show off what we’ve been working on. The updated rules are much clearer and contain many changes that were inspired by the feedback we received from you guys during playtests! Feel free to check the new Rulebook and Mission Book (Available on Monday) here:

Solo Campaigns

As we’re releasing the rulebooks, we also wanted to talk a little about the solo campaigns which you’ll see featured in the various booklets that you’ll receive. Just a reminder that every town will get its own campaign which will consist of 3 interconnected narrative-driven missions with unique events which change depending on how you play!

Each scenario should take about 45 minutes to an hour to complete (excluding different difficulty levels) which means that there’s tons of content and replayability for you to experience.

International Playtests

As stated in previous updates, we still have some playtests planned! Right now, we have one planned for the 12th of March in Hamburg, Germany, in addition to one on the 19th of March in Warsaw in collaboration with Fani Gier. We also have another playtest planned in Ireland, and once we have more details we’ll be sure to share them with you!

Just a reminder to check with the shop you plan to go to if signups are required! There are usually a lot of people that come to test and not enough games nor time to get through everyone.

That’s all for today, if you have any remaining questions then please feel free to reach out to us via contact [at] archon-studio.com, tune into our fortnightly livestream, join our Discord, make a forum post on our BGG page, or just write in the comments and we’ll do our best to answer as many questions as we can!

See you later, Heroes!
