Horizons for the Concerned

This was posted on our Horizons section the other day, but I think it’s worthy of a general post as well. Horizons is no longer on the brink of demise. Posted at the official Artifact Entertainment site, here’s the scoop:

Artifact Entertainment announces the full-scale development of HORIZONS

It is with great pleasure that we announce the new funding of the HORIZONS project. Over the past few months there has been great speculation as to the progress of the project, as well a the financial support; many have been concerned that the project would fall through, or would not raise enough capital to continue. This couldn’t be any further from the events that have happened over the last few months. We have finally established relationships with private investors to the point where we are now hiring for the entire project, and moving forward in full force. We have already started on the ALPHA version of the game, and are expanding our offices to support the growing team of people who are working on the project.

Artifact Entertainment is now in a unique position in the industry. Since we are not funded by a publisher, or other large-scale company, we are able to keep our own methods of development and overall game design and work just as closely with the players as we have in the past. This has always been important to us, and always will be.

Over the next few months, we will be releasing everything from additional game-related real-time graphical shots, to musical soundtracks, to conceptual design artwork and game features. It is our goal to make HORIZONS everything that the players want it to be, and then some.

We would like to extend a thank you to all of the players who have supported us, and are continuing to do so – you are part of the reason why we have received the funding that we have. Keep the feedback and support coming, and we’ll be working hard on making the most advanced MMORPG in the industry.

Rest easy.
