Kingdom Come: Deliverance “Epilogue” Documentary

While the full making-of documentary for Warhorse Studios’ historical RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance is still in the works, Vortex, a Czech video game-focused YouTube channel, brings us their “Epilogue” documentary dedicated to Kingdom Come’s stress and anxiety-filled pre-release moments and the immediate aftermath of the game’s launch.

We get to hear plenty of Warhorse’s developers talk about their expectations, their overwhelmingly stressful schedules, and all the hard work they put in just before releasing Kingdom Come, where they had to find a balance between fixing known issues and not breaking something new in the process.

We also get some heartfelt moments during the numerous developer interviews and even get to hear a bit from Tom McKay, the actor who voiced the game’s protagonist Henry and looks an awful lot like him. There are also some bits that lift the veil from how video game developers deal with critical reception and more.

So all in all, there’s a lot of great stuff in there. Be aware, however, that the majority of the documentary is in Czech, so be sure to turn on the English subtitles if you need them. Check it out:
