Large Batch of X-Men Legends Reviews

A whole batch of positive reviews for Activision and Raven’s X-Men Legends have surfaced on the internet. The first is at The Adrenaline Vault with an overall score of 4/5:

All grievances aside, X-Men Legends is still a breezy action RPG, with a heavy emphasis on combat. It may not have the intricate customization system or lengthy skill trees of a release such as Champions of Norrath, but even without, I never once tired of the battles in the 21 hours that it took me to push through the whole thing. Ultimately, it’s better to think of Legends as a deep action title more so than an RPG or dungeon crawler, and in this respect, you can’t go wrong.

The second is at About.com with an overall score of 4/5:

If you are a fan of the X-Men, you will absolutely love this game. It was put together with the love and care and attention that the franchise deserves and it really shows. This game was created by fans, for fans. Even if you are only a casual fan of the X-Men, the gameplay in Legends is good enough that it is still worth a look. The story is also really outstanding and interesting enough that anyone, not just fans, will want to see through to the end. Give it a rent if you are unsure, but X-Men Legends is long enough and offers enough replay value that it is worth a purchase.

The third is at Extreme Gamer with an overall score of 80%:

X-Men: Legends is by far the best X-Men game ever released, it gives fans a closer look into the super-heroes they love. The AI really has some flaws and overall the representation of Legends being an RPG is misleading. Aside from these flaws X-Men: Legends has loads of replayablilty, customization and super awesome cast of X-Men and villains. The action is fast paced, and it’s great with friends over. It’s not perfect, but there is an abundance to love with in X-Men: Legends.

The fourth is at GamersInfo with no overall score:

Overall, I love this game. If you’re a big X-Men fan, then I suggest you give this one a try. If not, try renting it first because part of the fun is in knowing who the people are and what they can do. See if you find it enjoyable to play an unknown superhero – you never know? I know I enjoyed it, and I hope you do as well. A definite thumbs up, if not two thumbs up in my book. If I may quote Prof. Charles Xavier “Alone, You are Might. Together, you are Legends”.

And the fifth can be found at Chicago Xbox with an overall score of 9.2/10:

Aside from the AI problems, X-Men Legends is an X-Cellent game. The game features a fairly good story along with good gameplay and plenty of action. The game even successfully recreates the X-Men universe accurately. In a surprising move, an X-Men game that is really good was made. And that game is X-Men Legends. I would definitely like to see a sequel.
