Why I Love Mages
There’s something so very, very satisfying about splattering a monster with a spell. Sure, swords and axes are fine, and arrows have a certain pecuniary charm. But when the Explosive Powder detonates, when a Fireskull goes screaming across the battlefield, when a monster breathes his last wreathed in the white-hot glow of a well cast Shock attack, I feel a deep sense of satisfaction. And the pretty glowing lights and effects make me happy too.

One of the goals our team had when we began this project was to make mages as effective as fighters and rangers, and throughout the design process, we kept coming up with new ways to enhance the mages.
