Mage’s Initiation Post-funding Updates #25-27: Upcoming Surveys and Demo

It’s been a while since we’ve last posted on Mage’s Initiation, but the the latest update gives us some pretty good reasons to stop neglecting this promising Kickstarter-funded project. Not only a combat demo is going to be release in the near future, but surveys for the $20 tier are about to be sent too:

New Combat Demo Coming Soon

In the very near future, we’ll be releasing a new and improved battle demo, in which we’ve refined the combat system based on your feedback. It now features a streamlined auto-targeting system, full keyboard support, and several other features. The new combat demo will available to backers only – but if you didn’t back the project and would like to get in on the demo action, you can still do so by becoming a late backer. Head on over to our Slacker Backer page to place a belated pledge at any tier level via PayPal.

Because we’ll be releasing this combat demo privately, backers should register at the Himalaya Studios forums and have us grant you access to the Private Backer forum. Be sure to click here for registration instructions.

Swag & Surveys

Things are going swimmingly on the swag production front. The Severed Circle Pendants and sticker sheet shipments have arrived, the spellbook pages are going into production soon, and the Army of D’arcness (i.e. 2,000 resin figures of D’arc) boarded the ship last week, to arrive in the States for a proper invasion in mid-July!

Since our $20 (Apprentice Tier) backers aren’t receiving any other physical goods, we can mail their stickers out now. So, if you pledged at the $20 tier, please keep your eyes peeled for a survey arriving via e-mail we’re not ready to survey the other tiers yet, but we’ll let you know when we are.

For PayPal backers reading this: we already have your shipping addresses on file if you pledged at a tier eligible to receive physical items, but we’re currently only ready to ship if you pledged at the $20 (Apprentice) tier. If your address has changed since you pledged, please contact us right away so we can update our records.

On top of that, you might want to catch up on updates 24, 25 and 26. The first two contain some development updates, while the latter brings us news that the game is now on Steam Greenlight.
