Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky DLC for PC Released

BioWare has finally released the PC version of their “Bring Down the Sky” downloadable content for Mass Effect. The executable is 300 to 500 MB in size, depending on which language you need. A quick intro if you’re unfamiliar with the DLC:

Details:

  • Introduces a new race: The vile batarians
  • New achievement to unlock
  • Explore a new uncharted world
  • Find it on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 MS points
  • Approximately 90 minutes game time
  • Available now

Story:

A batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only you, and the hand-picked crew of the Normandy, can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.

This first downloadable content pack further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.

How do I play Bring Down the Sky?

Download the content pack for your Xbox 360 or PC, then either open a saved game where you have access to the Galaxy Map onboard the Normandy, or you start a new game and play until you are given use of the Galaxy Map.

The update also includes some fixes to the core game, which you can grab in a standalone v1.01 patch, if you’d rather:
