Mass Effect Revelation Review

Ars Technica has posted a quick review of Mass Effect Revelation, the recently released prequel novel to BioWare’s upcoming sci-fi RPG. Their recommendation is “Buy”:

While the main story arc involving Anderson may not directly relate to the game’s plot, I’m led to believe from the book’s ending that one of the characters may ultimately end up being the game’s main antagonist. On the whole, though, Revelation does an admirable job of concocting a universe as a chess board of sorts: laying out the setting as planets and systems, putting down the different pieces as races and species, and defining the taxonomy of interactions between said pieces. Having gone back and watched the X06 and E3 trailers, I can instantly recognize many of the different planets and races, and understand certain reactions and mannerisms of the different players.

And I just might.
