Middle-earth: Shadow of War Mobile Announced

Imagine a situation when come October 10, 2017 you’re playing Monolith’s Middle-earth: Shadow of War, having a grand old time, but then you have to go to work, school, etc. That would be what is known in this industry as a bummer. But don’t worry, the friendly folks at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have just announced Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile, a free-to-play real-time RPG for your iOS and Android phones and tablets that somewhat resembles the real deal.

With Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile you’ll be able to keep killing Sauron’s minions even when you’re away from your stationary PC or console. At this point we don’t know the exact release date for Shadow of War mobile, but you can already pre-register, whatever that means, and receive bonuses depending on the brand of your device.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile, a free-to-play real-time RPG continuing Talion’s journey through Mordor, will feature iconic characters from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, including Celebrimbor, Eltariel, Gimli, Boromir and many more fan-favorites. Developed by IUGO Mobile Entertainment in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile will be available this fall on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android devices.

Starting today, fans can pre-register for the game at http://shadowofwar.com/mobile.

Players who pre-register for Apple devices will receive an exclusive character bundle featuring Ratbag and an Orc starter army, while fans who pre-register for Android devices will receive a version of Shelob in her fair form character, who will be playable for the first time on any platform. All content will be available at launch.

In Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile, fans return to Mordor to take part in real-time battles against powerful Orc enemies while gathering Middle-earth’s greatest champions to fight alongside Talion. Each character can be upgraded to bring a special set of skills and powered-up attacks into battle. Middle-earth: Shadow of War mobile also introduces the award-winning Nemesis System to mobile devices for the first time, giving players the chance to build their own Orc army and create countless personal game experiences in the process.
