More Shrouded Isles Info

Along with the revamping of the Shrouded Isles website, Mythic’s Sanya Thomas stopped by the Camelot Herald to shed some more light on the current alpha testing and upcoming beta testing of the expansion:

The alpha test of Shrouded Isles is cooking along very well. Internally, we’re enjoying the vastly improved framerates in RVR as well as the wonderful new water and lighting effects. We’re about to start sharing the love. The closed beta test will start in about two weeks. The first phase of beta is all about checking the engine and how well it works under normal playing conditions on the live servers. Then we’ll open it up to more players to test the new zones, races, and classes.

We’ve already got our list of closed beta testers (don’t tease the testers for information, they will be under a strict NDA), so please don’t send any emails, but watch this website in the coming weeks for open beta registration information. Again, emails won’t help, it will be a sign up form. We’re glad so many of you are as excited as we are!

P.S. Please don’t be concerned about Shrouded Isles distracting us from the all-important Spellcrafting and Alchemy. We’re only testing the new engine for now =)
