Morrowind Developer Q&A #17

The seventeenth Morrowind Developer Q&A is up at RPGVault, this time asking several of the game’s creators what low-level items or spells they make the best use of:

Jonric: Relatively low-level spells or magical items can sometimes be much more useful than they first seem. What is your favorite in Morrowind, and why?

Mark Nelson, Designer: I’ve been playing my Khajiit thief character over the last couple of weeks, and he doesn’t use a lot of magical items or weapons at all. However, there is one thing that has come in handy on a number of occasions: his Chameleon Ring. It doesn’t have a big charge, and it doesn’t make him completely undetectable, but it’s often just enough to allow him to avoid detection by some pesky shopkeeper and grab some loot, or to let him get behind a bandit and backstab for big damage. Very handy for the more stealthy characters.
