Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition News

Bethesda’s Pete Hines dropped us an email earlier today with some good news about the upcoming Game of the Year edition of Morrowind. Check it out:

Just a note to let you know that we’re now taking pre-orders for the Morrowind Game of the Year edition for Xbox on our online store. The Morrowind GotY edition allows Xbox gamers to continue their existing game of Morrowind and experience all the new content from the two Morrowind expansions, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. The Morrowind GotY edition for Xbox is slated to ship the week of October 20th (not October 20th, the week of October 20th).

Second, we’re pleased to announce the Morrowind Prophecies GotY edition, a new, expanded version of our best-selling hint book that includes new chapters covering the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions. This new, larger format is jammed with more than 400 pages of maps, creature info, weapon and armor lists, and walkthroughs for every quest in the game. It’s the ultimate companion for the huge world of Morrowind and covers both the Xbox and PC versions of the game.

Finally, we wanted to let you know that we will also be shipping a Morrowind GotY edition for PC. This special edition comes with the original Morrowind plus both expansions and the TES CS, and a new map that covers all three games, all for under $30. The PC GotY edition will also ship the week of October 20th.
