My Top Five Hunter Hearthstone Cards

Ah Hearthstone, thank you for getting rid of the time on all those pesky bus journey’s to work. I don’t know what I would have done without you. Well, ok. Maybe I would have found another game, but then I’d have to leave Azeroth in some form, and that clearly isn’t happening.

I play Hearthstone quite regularly, I’d say about 4-6 games per weekday. Is that regular? It seems pretty regular. Anyway, I’ve built up a fair collection of cards. I’ve never spent any real money on the packs, or adventures or so on. So the only cards I own have been won or paid for with in-game gold only.

Seeing as my favourite class is the Hunter both in World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, it’s only fitting I start with my top five favourite Hunter cards. So, which are the cards languishing in my Hunter deck that give me that warm fuzzy feeling when I draw them?

Like I said I’m sure there are better cards out there but if I don’t own them, they can’t be in the list. Dem’s da rules, I just made up.

Explosive Trap Hunter Hearth Stone Card5.) So heading straight in at number 5, we have The Explosive Trap. For only two mana points you can inflict two damage on all enemies which can be a real board-cleaner at the start of the game and so is totally worth the cost.

Bear Trap Hunters Hearthstone Card4.) Another trap, The Bear Trap card. This time, after your hero is attacked you summon a 3/3 Bear with taunt. Sure, it’s not the most stalwart of taunting beasts, but considering your opponent is kind enough to draw it for you on his turn, you don’t have to waste your mana summoning it. If you throw enough different traps in your deck, the chance of your opponent anticipating them is even more unlikely.

Hunters Mark Hunter Hearthstone Card3.) If there is one thing I love it’s free cards and Hunter’s Mark is a doozy of a free card. A card that can change the health of any minion to one is awesome. Play the mark and any Boar, Arcane Shot or Explosive Trap can destroy the biggest and baddest of all minions. Seriously, what is there not to love?

Ram Wrangler Hunter Hearthstone Card2.) There’s quite a few Hunter cards that summon more beasts, but Ram Wrangler is my favourite. Sure, you must already have a beast in play and the Ram Wrangler himself is five mana but unlike Animal Companion, the choice of beast summoned is random from any beast not just ones in your deck. So, there’s a chance you can get a King Krush. Of course this card doesn’t always play out like that but I’ve found it’s worth the gamble.

Hearthstone Card Ball of Spiders1.) At number one is the Ball of Spiders card.If you have read this post you’ll already be familiar with how great I think this card is, but as you may have guessed I like the element of random in my games, especially as my deck is lacking the really legendary cards, any chance of getting a great card I don’t have into play I take. So with Ball of Spiders, there are three chances to get a King Krush into play, and as an added bonus my opponent often helps me get them. Of course, you could get some crap beasts but the mana cost of even rubbish beasts usually ends up to more than the six cost of the card.

So those are my favourite Hunter Cards in my Hunter deck. I’ll be choosing my favourites from all my decks, at some point but until then let me know what your favourite hunter cards are.
