Ni-Oh Will Be 70 Hours on Average, According to Developers

During an interview with the folks at WCCFTech, Ni-Oh game director Fumihiko Yasuda gave an idea of the average length a player can expect out of a playthrough of the action-RPG, and tempered the hopes of a PC port of the PlayStation 4 exclusive.

70 hours sound like a lot to me, compared to an average playthrough of a normal Japanese action game or even Dark Souls, but then again, it’s worth noting that in these games length varies dramatically depending on difficulty:

How long do you expect it will take players to complete the game, on average?

Yasuda: It will take on average around 70 hours.

Koei Tecmo recently ported a lot of games to the PC platform, and there’s already a petition for Nioh. Is there a chance you might release the game on PC at some point?

Yasuda: We currently do not have any plans to release Nioh for PC.

I recommend you read the full interview if you want more info on the protagonist, storyline, the difficulty settings or lack thereof, and the feature Yasuda is most proud of.
