No Mans Sky First Content Patch is Being Worked on

After the recent release of patch 1.09, Hello games have confirmed that they are now working on their first content patch for both the PC and PS4 release of their exploration sandbox game No Mans Sky.

Tweets emerged from Audio Director Paul Weir shortly after patch 1.09’s release on how the latest patch hadn’t included any new audio.

  • “Nope, no audio changes yet. There will be for our first content update”

  • “New music is in the works, haven’t finalised exactly when it will make it into the game, but as soon as I can.”

  • “Just to be CLEAR, I’m not promising when the new music will go in, just as soon as we can. There will be new audio regardless,”

Although more and better audio is good what we want is some new and really meaty stuff to get our teeth into in the next No Mans Sky content patch. Something new that can bring people back to NMS.

Specifics on what is going to be included within the content patch is only being pieced together and guessed at. It’s not a massive stretch of the imagination to imagine there could be additions to the game such as battleships, elements of base building and presumably more. After all, they have some damage control to do, after the negative publicity NMS received shortly after its release.

With patch 1.09 fixing issues such as the stacking exploit used to gain extra resources, plus an increase in frames per second for PC users. It looks as if Hello Games have been very busy at work ironing out the creases in No Mans Sky. Have they done enough, and will the content patch be enough to bring people back to the game. Only time will tell what effect the content patch will have, of course.
