NWN Adventure Creation Guide: Part VII

GameSpy has posted part seven of their Neverwinter Nights Adventure Creation Guide, this time talking about the uses of both the Conversation Editor and Script Editor. Here’s a taste:

Some of us are hobby horticulturists and will be content to stop there, with a beautiful conversation tree for the world to see. But some of us prefer to work a deeper magic behind the words that our characters will speak. Why, we might wish our character to respond differently to heroes of different personal traits or gender or race. Or perhaps the response is different if our hero carries a specific item or has experienced a certain event within our tale. Or maybe we want our characters to perform actions as they speak, bowing before the triumphant hero or waving to them as they pass by in the street. Perhaps we even want to fill our conversation with voices and sounds to better engage the senses. All of these are made simple within the Conversation Editor, each drawn from their own libraries.
