Power Rangers: Legacy Wars Gets Megazord Update

A few days ago Power Rangers: Legacy Wars received one of the largest updates of its history. For the first time ever you are ow able to pit Megazord against Megazord in giant combat. What can be better than giant fighting mechs? Only giant fighting dinosaur mechs. Oh, wait they have them too.

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars has been downloaded more than 23 million times since its launch and has more than 230 million matches played. There aren’t many games that can keep such a high level of interest and sustain its player base after launch, but because of the support of Lionsgate, Saban and the developers nWay, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is now an eSports title with a $10,000 tournament that took place at the Amazon’s Mobile Masters Las Vegas event.

So what else do you get? Well you get a new alliance focused game mode featuring larger than life battles between the Megazords and famous villains from the near 25 year history. You work together with other members of your alliance to complete missions. Obviously the more people who attempt the challenges, the easier and quicker they are completed. Completing a mission grants the players with zords, and when you have collected enough of those, you unlock a new fully customizable Megazord.

Beginning with this update, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars will also feature periodic “Megazord Alliance Wars” in which players compete against other alliances to climb a leaderboard that doles out rewards based on position – the higher a player ranks, the greater rewards received.

“Since Legacy Wars’ inception, nWay, Saban Brands and Lionsgate always envisioned making a game that would capture the team aspect of Power Rangers and showcase that #TogetherWeAreMore,” said Taehoon Kim, CEO, nWay. “The Megazord is the ultimate symbol of that sentiment and bringing Megazords to our game is a true realization of that vision.”
