Return to Arms’ Advertising Campaign Editorial

GameDAILY had put together an editorial about the Champions: Return to Arms advertising campaign, in which SOE brand manager Laura Naviaux offers commentary about the scantily clad women that were used to promote the game. Check it out:

Although the ad’s simple design and message is what catches the eye, there is a surprising amount of depth hidden within. SOE had the costume custom created for the campaign, to ensure that it wouldn’t simply be an intimidating model wearing a piece of fantasy garb.

“Direct game reference was used for the costume. We really went into a lot of detail. In some of the print ads the costume the model is wearing is present in the screenshots below her,” Naviaux explained. “We really wanted to give it a sense of authenticity.”

“The costume was created by the same person who designed Mr. Freeze’s costume for Batman & Robin, as well as many other Hollywood costumes,” Naviaux continued.
