Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Reviews

A handful of new reviews for Ascaron Entertainment’s Sacred sequel have hit the web over the past few days. The first is at GameZone with a score of 7.5/10:

If Ascaron patches in fixes for the bugs, to shore up the game, this will be quite entertaining and should provide a lot of fun. The graphical elements are, for the most part, well done, and the game has a very good vibe to it it does not take itself too seriously, while at the same time telling a decent story.

The second is at GamePlasma with a score of 8.4/10:

At the very least Sacred 2 is a worthy distraction for those gamers desperate to get their hands on Diablo III. Yes, there are some issues surrounding the demands on system resources but this game has combined the soul of Baldur’s Gate with the addictive action of Blizzard’s cult classic in an extremely effective manner.

If you are looking for a good action RPG this Christmas then Sacred 2: Fallen Angel should be at the top of your list.

The third is at Games Xtreme with a score of 7.8/10:

The game can be played single player or multiplayer with up to 16 other friends for cooperative frolics or versus madness. It’s obvious that Ascaron have been watching MMO’s as well since Sacred 2 has several things in common with most MMO’s, such as mounts on the Isle of Mounts (ok, I broke my promise of not revealing anything, but it was only minor, bite me).

It’s the best Diablo-style action romp out there for now, so you have to pick it up if you love those kinds of games.

And the fourth is at Diehard GameFAN with a score of “ENJOYABLE GAME!”:

Though trite and uninspired on its conceptual and design levels, Sacred 2 is a long, large, and satisfying dungeon click. The visuals are technically impressive, as is the music score, and in regards to gameplay with these types of titles, Sacred 2 is a great paced, addictive, and finely balanced experience. If you can swallow the absence of any style, interesting design, and a functional map option in your action RPGs, Sacred 2 is definitely worth your time.
