Silverfall Reviews

Three more fairly positive reviews of Atari and Monte Cristo’s Silverfall bring us into the weekend. The first is at GameDaily with an overall score of 8/10:

Although Silverfall may have many limitations, it provides a worthwhile challenge and a fresh approach to hack and slash role-playing games.

The second is at Strategy Informer with an overall score of 7.5/10:

While the story line is a little lame and obvious, the character design is amazing, as are the abilities to acessorize (okay ‘equip’) your character with various kinds of weaponry and whatnot. Much care has been taken with character, monster and environment design, so even if it is all a bit boring and repetitive, and insists on making obvious statements, it sure is pretty to look at.

And the third is at AceGamez with an overall score of 7/10:

If it’s escapism you want, a way to immerse yourself in another world and let the cares and worries of real life drift away, then perhaps Silverfall will be found wanting. However, if you’re looking for an enjoyable hack-and-slash epic to relieve a little tension running quests for idle NPCs and nailing Zombie Trolls with a 90lb Mechanical Warhammer for an ultimately fairly hollow reward then this may just be the game you’re looking for.
