Star Wars: KotOR II Reviews

A pair of fairly positive reviews for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II surfaced earlier this evening. The first is over at CGN with an overall score of 4.0/5:

Given everything that the original KOTOR did last year, it would be hard for any developer to follow in Bioware’s footsteps. Obsidian Entertainment stepped it up with some new gameplay elements, and while there are a few graphical glitches and minor plot holes, none of those can take away from an otherwise solid game.

And the second is at GamersInfo with no overall score:

I am a huge Star Wars fan and absolutely loved the original game (playing through it to its entirety about 6 times to date). I wanted to love this one just as much, but simply found myself unable to. The latter stages of the game felt much more like a chore – simply slugging through the enemies and running the gauntlet just so I could see the credits role in a futile attempt to have the story finally explained. There are so many things left unexplained, so many things that appear central to your character and to the overall story. Hopefully, if a third installment is made, the story will receive the focus once again and it will not leave a sour taste in my mouth.
