Star Wars: KotOR II Reviews

Another handful of reviews have made their way to the web for LucasArts and Obsidian’s Star Wars: KotOR sequel. The first is at MSXbox World with an overall score of 8.5/10:

A must have for Star Wars and RPG fans alike and an interesting title for anyone else. I suggest that renting the game will not do the game justice, as the rental period will probably expire just as the game starts to warm up. So I suggest taking the plunge and purchasing it instead if you are serious about playing. Not as good as the original as far as locations and story is concerned but better in other areas such as character development and combat. May the force be with you.

The second is at GameArena with an overall score of 9/10:

Only the most impatient RPG gamers won’t appreciate this for what it is a fitting follow-up to one of the finest solo RPGs on PC or Xbox. Excellent execution, and a game that you will be able to play through several times without losing the flavour. These guys need a job making the films.

And the third is at AltGaming with an overall score of 7/10:

There is undoubtably fun to be had here, and for 90% of the time, KOTOR 2 will be a deep, interesting RPG romp. It’s fun building up your character and playing with force powers, and it is actually a game worthy enough to play through twice, if not three times, just to do things differently. It is not excellent, by any means, but a solid, playable title, that should have been a great deal more than it is.
