The Ascent – Message to the Community

Neon Giant, the team behind the cyberpunk action-RPG The Ascent that launched a couple months back, bring us this Steam announcement highlighting some of the stuff coming to their game in the next update. And just for good measure, they follow it up with a quick thank you message to the game’s community. Check it out:

Hello everyone,

We’d like to take the time to thank everyone for their support and involvement in The Ascent community. Since launch, we have been following your player feedback closely, and it has been immensely helpful for our team. Even if we haven’t been able to respond to everyone, we can assure you that we keep a close eye on the community discussions and will continue to do so.

As a reminder, if you’re looking to report a bug or issue, you can post it here in the forum.

If you’re looking to send us some suggestions or ideas for future content updates, please post it here in the forum.

This month, we have been working hard on our next patch, prioritizing its content based on your feedback. You can find below some visibility on the fixes it will address. Please note that this isn’t the full list at all, but only a few highlights we wanted to give you for transparency of what’s coming up:

  • Fixes have been made to resolve situations where no FullChromes are present during “Mutual Dependencies” (Mission 2) unblocking Players stuck here.
  • A fix has been made to resolve an issue where some Players were blocked at the ‘Find Lanier’ step during “Data Miner” (Mission 5)
  • We have made a fix for players reporting being blocked at the “talk to Kira” step in “Trace Protocol” (Mission 7)
  • Achievements: fix for the “Comprehensive” Achievement. We are also looking into fixes for “Win”, “For Both Our Benefits” and “Omnihacker”.
  • Performance improvements on PC and Windows 10 (including a fix for Raytracing not working for Windows 10 players)
  • Various co-op fixes (including elevators fixes and numerous issues with network disconnections)
  • Many other improvements including visual issue fixes, various stability fixes, various audio fixes, translation fixes and more.

The next patch will be deployed shortly, and with it the full list of fixes it addresses.

We want to thank you again for your continued feedback, especially those of you that have experienced issues with The Ascent. Our community is our lifeblood and we are very grateful for all the love and support – it makes all the difference!

Rest assured that our team is dedicated to improving the game for all players on all platforms, and we will keep working hard on The Ascent throughout the rest of the year and beyond.

TEAM, PASSION, COMMITMENT!
The Ascent team
