RPGDot has published an editorial called “Remakes – The Case For Recreating Older Games”, in which they discuss why certain video games are prime candidates to be recreated with a modern engine and updated control scheme. One of their picks:

In 2000 Baldur’s Gate II’s dated engine was pushing the limits of what was technically acceptable for the time, yet the quality shone through, and still surpasses many RPGs released today. Could and indeed, should games like this be updated in a similar manner to others?
