The Elder Scrolls: Skywind Mod Dev Diary #1

The Elder Scrolls mod community has always been extraordinarily vital since the release of the Morrowind Construction Set all the way back in 2002, but seeing undertakings as massive as Skywind, a complete remake of Morrowind in the Skyrim engine, complete with full voice-acting, is still extremely inspiring. The team, which is now comprised by about 70 members in total, has released the first of what will likely be more development diaries, in which they showcase examples of music, art, landmasses and voice acting and describe their approach to the various disciplines.

Plenty of similarly ambitious modding efforts have failed in the past, and I have to admit I’m a bit skeptical of the ability of a small team to pull off such a large voice acting effort, but all that said, we’ll certainly follow this closely and report on it while hoping it succeeds.
