The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition Patch v1.1 Released, Players Report Crashes

After a short stint in beta, the new patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is now out on all three platforms, but unfortunately it brought a host of problems with its fixes. As reported by various players (there’s a good explanation and link aggregate over at the Eurogamer link), the game has become prone to crash on all three platforms for many with this latest patch, to the point where some find it unplayable.

Bethesda has claimed to be looking into the crash report, but there’s no ETA on the fix for now. Personally, I haven’t experienced any crash myself, but my framerate with the game tanked ever since the patch left beta. Hopefully all the problems are only temporary, but this is certainly not good for a game that’s already five years old as of now.
