The Future of City of Heroes Article

Warcry has written up an article that discusses some of the changes and additions that Cryptic Studios’s City of Heroes will be receiving in the future, based upon what they learned from creative director Jack Emmert during this year’s Gen Con. A snippet, as usual:

The developers know there is a lot of concern regarding balance, but we have been reassured that they are looking at many different possibilities, possibilities that include not just nerfing classes. For example, after level 25, a blaster’s main weakness is his hitpoints, but that is pretty much negated because they can kill anything faster than an enemy to get to them. He’s considered upping minion HP and lowering hero skills, but nothing of the sort has happened yet and might not. So all you Assualt Rifle/Devices blasters can breathe easy, you aren’t going to die.

Super groups are an important thing in City of Heroes and within the next couple of expansions they are going to get more important. Super Groups are now going to be able to build bases and have specific super group combat.
