The Order of the Thorne – The King’s Challenge Hits Steam Greenlight

You might remember that earlier this year the folks at Infamous Quests launched a new Kickstarter campaign for a Quest for Infamy prequel and a new episodic adventure game, titled The Order of the Thorne. Well, the first episode, which is subtitled The King’s Challenge, is now on Steam Greenlight and can be supported by fans that would like to see it sold on Steam.

The game has apparently had a pretty good first day on Greenlight, which bodes well for the title’s chances to be released on Steam:

We’ve had a really great first day on Greenlight; our fans and backers from Kickstarter have been very supportive, and we all really appreciate that.

To those who’ve never seen our games or heard of us before, we’ve released one other game on Steam – another point and click adventure entitled Quest for Infamy

Now, we realize that our style and design choices aren’t to everyone’s preference – but we make the kind of games we like to play, and I know there’s people out there who like to play these kinds of games too. If this isn’t your kind of game, don’t worry – we didn’t make it to upset you!

This game is the result of a lot of people working very hard to capture a very specific vision, all while crafting a fun game and engaging story. I’m very excited about The Order of the Thorne as a series, as we have four parts ultimately planned – production on the second part, Fortress of Fire, is already well underway.

So, to those who have voted yes and been encouraging, thank you so much. We hope you enjoy our game.

According to one of the latest Kickstarter updates, progress on Quest for Infamy: Roehm to Ruin is also going well, and the developers intend to cast voice actors for it really soon:

Quest for Infamy: Roehm to Ruin is coming right along too – we have only a very few bits to finish up on that, programming wise, and a few animations to complete. We’ll be casting voice actors for that really soon, and Steve Patrick will be returning as the voice of Mr. Roehm!

If you enjoyed Quest for Infamy there is much to look forward in the future, then, though our own Steven Carter wasn’t impressed by its script. Then again, there’s always room for improvement.
