The Witcher Developer Blog #5

CD Projekt has added a fifth entry to their blog on IGN, this time providing us with more insight into how the team created the game’s musical score.

Since we’re in the second year of work on the music in The Witcher, our heads are corroded with all the possible themes: battle, quiet, town, rural etc. etc. The main battle music was created during summer and autumn of 2005. Sometimes it was hard to compose gloomy music, dripping with blood and dungeon smell, when the sun was fully shining outside the window. It was much easier to feel the atmosphere during autumn. I’m not saying that music depends on the weather, but it sure does help to have an appropriate environment to work in.
