The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Reviews

CD Projekt’s The Witcher: Enhanced Edition continues to champion high review scores around the web. We start off with Hardcore Gamer Magazine with a score of 4.5/5:

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is a remarkably deep title filled with decision making tasks that actually have an effect on the story itself. The main plot doesn’t deviate from that of a typical RPG, but the side quests are plentiful enough to be an entertaining alternative. The game excels in combat and the attribute customization tree much more than the stiff interactions between the characters. If you have a PC setup strong enough to run The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you certainly won’t be disappointed by the fluid combat and glowing graphics.

Followed by Games32 with a score of 90/100:

With a more mature audience in mind, The Witcher doesn`t shy from using bad language and you can even have sex with a large number of different women in the game. For each one, a certain card will be unlocked, but you`ll have to play more than once to get them all, note to perfectionists.

The main quest will take up to 50 hours to complete, but finishing the side quests as well will certainly raise that number. As any game inspired by a book, there is a lot of background information available and you can clearly see this when you find different books in the game, worthy of your time.

And, finally, The Next Level with a perfect score of 5/5:

If you enjoy RPGs with a rich fantasy setting, The Witcher should already be on your shelf. It’s a game that shows a truly mature, well crafted, engaging story that’s well beyond the usual watered down, kid friendly, clichéd nonsense that passes for a plotline in too many games. It also keeps to a quick pace and cunning action that never gets boring, allowing you to progress your personal version of Geralt at just the right pace to keep the enjoyment going over its extended length. If any of this has any interest to you, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not giving it a try.
