Its Time for Raging Justice – Old School Side-Scrolling Comes to PS4

“Ain’t nothing like the old school”, and this is especially true with modern gaming. Old arcade games have paved the way for the culture we all know and love. So who better to keep the old flame alive than studio MakinGames bringing Raging Justice to PS4 this year. This game is a 2D side-scroller reminiscent of the classic beat’em up games. Raging Justice has updated graphics but still holds the same mechanics, feel and attitude from that era. Take a look at the trailer below!

Inspired by childhood memories from the 90’s MakinGames decided to start a new side-scroller with the help of Team17. Raging Justice is paying homage the games of that era, but it wasn’t enough to merely make the game happen. The art, sound, music, and feel of the game ooze out effort and time. To make matters interesting, a few past members of the famous Rare studio are assisting in on the games art design. They will be using techniques from Donkey Kong Country and Killer Instinct.

The goal for MakinGames is making Raging Justice a new and exciting title that fondly adores the past. For the release on the PS4, the game will now have level challenges, a new arrest mechanic, alternate endings, and an extensive assortment of weapons. Games like this have always caught my attention, but it never sparked a deep interest for me to play them. I am open-minded, so I may give this game a try; after all, these type of games are the reason gaming culture exists.

Raging Justice is due to be released on the PS4 later this year!
