Unconfirmed: Star Wars: The Old Republic in October 2010

French fansite Star Wars Universe claims to have inside word from LucasArts that BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic is currently scheduled for release in October of next year. Google Translate at work, once again:

A source in contact with LucasArts and total reliability we said the game was for the moment scheduled for October 2010. There is still a little over a year to wait to enjoy the game, notwithstanding any open or closed beta that may be provided by then, of course.

Three remarks:

– First, I know what it is like to be in the position of the player and say “but that this spring in the bite-me-the-node? And that, of course, we can not tell you for fear of the grill. You will therefore have to take our word!

– Second, that date is fully consistent with what was announced a year ago. It is even in the heart of the period selected.

– Finally, remember to talk about a video game. October 2010 is the date at the moment, but delays are always possible, since no official announcement has been made. You have been warned …

Thanks, Massively.
