Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Interview

GameSpy has conducted a two-page interview with Sigil Games’ Jeff Butler, asking the developer about their upcoming MMORPG, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. Here’s a little something to get you started:

Q: What makes it different from the current giants and the titles to come?

A: That’s one of the reasons we haven’t demoed it at the show. We haven’t really announced what’s going to differentiate it. Given the circumstances, the fact that the industry has some fairly large competition, that has not yet come to market. EverQuest II, World of Warcraft, we’ve been holding off on talking about what the secret sauce is. We’ve been holding off on doing full-scale demos. We’re totally ready to demo, even here at GenCon, but we’re waiting. We know we’re going to release after those two games. It makes doing interviews difficult, it’s very frustrating that I can’t talk about all the cool stuff, especially when I’m talking to a site like GameSpy. Gamers who know their stuff. You guys are going to enjoy playing this game.
