Warhammer Age of Sigmar : Champions Heading to Switch and Steam

If you’ve been keeping up to date with all the news about the Games Workshop collectible card game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions, then you will be aware that it is heading to the Nintendo Switch and Steam/PC/MAC over the course of the next few weeks. You could also pick up most of that simply by reading the title as well but hey ho.

Both the physical and digital game have had roaring success with over 20 million physical cards sold and over 1 million digital matches played, which means there’s a lot of people battling their darling-little socks off.

If you’re wondering if you read the above correctly, yes you did. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions uses both digital and physical cards. Scan the real-world card and you get to use within the game digitally.

Don’t worry if you’re a new player, as you’ll be able to jump straight in, by going through the full tutorial. When you’re ready it’s time to face against other players in Casual Mode, AI Challenges or the full-length campaigns. When you think you’re tough enough maybe enter the Ranked Matches for the chance of huge rewards. With new content and cards being regularly added to the game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is always changing.

“The team are utterly thrilled with the opportunity to bring Warhammer Champions to new audiences and new platforms,” said Mark Gerhard, CEO and Co-Founder of PlayFusion. “The response for the physical and digital game has already been incredible, and we just can’t wait to watch that grow to new heights. With the release of our Set 2 cards in Onslaught, and a whole heap of new features we have planned, there’s always going to be something new to try. And now, there will be a much bigger community to try with!”

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is heading to Steam sometime during February and later on in quarter 1, the Nintendo Switch. If you want more information head over to the Warhammer Champions official site on www.warhammerchampions.com.
