Well, It Was Worth A Shot…

Over on Blizzard’s official forums, Jadix feeling lucky took a swing…

Blizz…is it not possible to offer a download right now of WoW in its Alpha stage that shows us nothing more than we already know? You just load it up, and you control a human character. All you can do is walk around a small area and look around, nothing big. god i would love that. i just need something to ease my addiction for a little while…

…and missed

GFrazier: Game companies don’t usually do that (except by mistake) because they don’t want you to see the game in such an early stage. At that point games are not ready for the public, are buggy, and it would give people a very bad impression about the game. Imagine say you’re building a car and you got the frame and the engine and goods in but not the body or anything the things that make it nice. You don’t drag out what you have at the moment to the car show. People might think it sucks based on not everything being in yet. Why do you think companies get angry when versions leak out? Because they don’t want them being judged. Some people can’t see potential, they can’t see hey it’s not done yet. =) That’s why some betas make you sign an NDA where you can’t talk about what you see.

But we will be demoing the game again at E3 and the version shown should be pretty fun if you’re lucky enough to try it.
