World of Warcraft First Impressions

Jolt Online Gaming is offering their first impressions of World of Warcraft, just as the MMORPG launches in Europe. An excerpt to follow:

The first time you play, tool tips will pop up explaining the easy-to-use control system, and how to get your first quests and abilities. Combat is handled by clicking on an enemy to attack, then activating your character’s abilities while your avatar automatically deals with the hacking and slashing. Even death is handled in a relatively friendly manner you’ll turn into ghost form, and have the option of paying to resurrect your character immediately (although this will mean your character is weak for awhile), or you can invest a few minutes in running your ghostly form over to your corpse and resurrecting at the cost of little more than some degradation to your equipment. The fact that no experience is lost, and your items can’t be lost will be a welcome decision for many.
