XCOM: Enemy Unknown Review

Should you be willing to read an additional critique for Firaxis’ latest, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the remake of the beloved 1994 game, Telegraph has their own piece ready for you, which awards the game a perfect 5/5.

It’s a stunning show of sci-fi adventure and military commander simulation. The fight on the ground complements the base-building perfectly and high-impact decision-making is the crux of this entire game. It’s tough and punishing game, but in the best way possible. Every loss compels you onward in the war and the story. Where most games are frustratingly punishing, XCOM delivers a masterclass in challenge and escalation.
